Peter Obi has been endorsed as the national party leader by the Ebonyi LP.
The Labour Party in Ebonyi State has officially designated
Mr. Peter Obi as its national leader for the upcoming 2023 general elections.
, Fidelis Nwankwo has been chosen as the party leader within the state.
This decision was reached during a stakeholders meeting in Abakaliki,
where a six-point communique was issued. Signatories of the communique
include leaders from the Ebonyi South and North Senatorial Zones,
namely Mr. Linus Okorie and Emmanuel Ezeh. Furthermore,
Mr. Emmanuel Nwobo, representing the Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone,
endorsed the communique on behalf of the National Transition Committee
and conveners of the stakeholders meeting.
The gathering also sought the support of members for the upcoming
National Convention and state congress to elect new party leaders.
The communique highlighted the importance of informing members about future political activities,
such as mobilizing new members and registration.
